Fifth Annual Hops and Half Shells 5k

TCC Foundation’s Hops and Half Shells 5K is back and better than ever! Join us on Saturday, November 14. Not only do we have our 5K beginning at 9 a.m., but we have also added options of a one-mile race beginning at 8:30 a.m. as well as a virtual option you can do at home!
If you do choose to join us in-person, you’ll get the chance to enjoy the beauty and natural surroundings of the Wakulla Environmental Institute, including sinkholes, pine scrub forests, and a natural land bridge. The course is full of small obstacles and gorgeous scenery that is perfect for trail runners and walkers alike to enjoy a morning in nature.
As a safety precaution, runners will be sent out in waves of 25 people at a time and will be required to wear a mask at the beginning and end of the race when around other participants. Waves will be assigned depending on your estimated finish time. There will be a no-contact temperature check at the beginning of the day, sanitation stations at the beginning and end of the race, and all volunteers and staff members are required to wear a mask.
After the race, participants can enjoy post-race snacks, free oysters, farmed by the WEI’s Oyster Aquaculture program, and free local craft beer from Deep Brewing Company!
