Ireland may be a relatively small country, but each year, St. Patrick’s Day reminds us of the important influences its citizens have had on the world, and it allows us to celebrate with renowned Irish hospitality.

Each year in Wakulla County, the Lion’s Club pulls out all the stops to throw an incredible St. Patrick’s Day Festival that has something for everyone. So pull your most stylish green outfit out of the closet and get ready for Saturday, March 12, 2016, when the Lion’s Club will once again help the citizens of Wakulla County engage in a fun-filled celebration of Irish heritage.

Nothing Kicks Off a Festival Quite Like a Parade

Each year, the Lion’s Club St. Patrick’s Day festival begins with an exciting parade that runs right through the heart of downtown Crawfordville. The sights, sounds, and colors of St. Patrick’s Day will all be on display as organizations from across Wakulla County present their most creative floats for everyone to enjoy. It’s the perfect day to grab a seat early, relax with your friends and family, and marvel as the parade floats roll through the county seat of Wakulla.

Irish Food, Irish Folk Music, and Irish Fun!

Once the parade has made its way through the town, it’s time to head over to beautiful Hudson Park to continue the festivities. The Lion’s Club has organized afternoon full of fun for the whole family, including live Irish folk music for you to show off your best jig moves, tasty Irish food, and beverage options as well. Also, be sure to take a leisurely stroll around the park and peruse the offerings of the arts and crafts vendors who will be on hand. There’s no doubt that they’ll have plenty of unique green and gold souvenirs so you can be in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit even when you get home.
