Festivals & Events

If haven’t made plans to go to the St. Marks Stone Crab Festival, it’s time to block off that weekend! This year’s festival is expected to be better than ever!

Each year, October holds a lot of excitement for Wakulla County and the surrounding towns, and this year is no exception. Once again, the St. Marks Stone Crab Festival is happening, and the turnout for this event is expected to be huge. The event will take place from 10:00am to 6:00pm on October 24, 2015. With countless vendors, entertainment for all ages, and an exciting raffle grand prize, this is one event you will not want to miss.

Who Will Be There?

Most importantly, you! Well, you, along with around 12,000-15,000 other people. If this event is anything like previous years, everyone around is going to be there, so you won’t want to miss out.

Live music will be provided for the entire event, with a handful of bands playing for an hour and a half each. Wakulla Coast Charter School will also provide a bounce house and kids zone as part of the festival. To view the vendor lists from previous years, visit the St. Marks Stone Crab Festival website.

With approximately 100 vendors confirmed to be in attendance, the list would be too long to post here. But these are some of the different types of vendors you can expect.

  • Arts & Crafts Vendors
  • Jewelry
  • Nonprofits & Public Outreach Vendors
  • Various Food Vendors
  • Live Entertainment
  • Kids Zone with Bounce House

What About the Stone Crabs?

The only vendors who are allowed to sell stone crabs at this year’s festival are local restaurants. This makes sure that the main event is always tied to our local roots. Not only that, but every stone crab at the festival was caught right here in St. Marks, so you know you’re getting the best of local seafood.

What’s New This Year?

If you are familiar with the St. Marks Stone Crab Festival, you may be wondering if there is anything new for this year’s celebration. Good news – there is something very exciting that is new this year!

There will be a raffle for a brand new John Deere Gator! Only 250 tickets will be sold, so your odds of winning are at most 1/250. Tickets are being sold online before the event, and only cost $100, so make sure you get your ticket before they are all gone.

Be sure you block off Saturday, October 24th to make it out to this great event! All proceeds from the festival are being given as charitable donations to organizations in St. Marks and the surrounding area.

See you there!
