Florida Designated Paddling Trails

Florida's climate, natural surroundings and vast navigable waterways make our state ideal for recreational paddlers of all levels who want to explore our rivers, creeks and coastline. There are more than 40 designated paddling trails on various rivers and streams and a circumnavigational saltwater trail that covers 1,515-miles of Florida coastline. Florida’s Designated Paddling Trails are paddling destinations recognized for their quality and variety of experiences. Wakulla County has the distinction of three Designated Paddling Trails – Lower Ochlockonee River Paddling Trail, Sopchoppy River Paddling Trail and Wakulla River Paddling Trail - as well as other paddling trail systems that showcase our rich heritage and abundant natural attributes.
